Air Export Document Processing Agent
Position Description: Manage, evaluate and assess information necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified by the contract documents for the assigned areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, guidance documents and supporting tools for the implementation and enforcement of legislation on pollution prevention from ships;
- Prepare and participate as necessary in visits to Member States for monitoring the implementation of EU legislative acts related to the prevention of pollution from ships (i.e. Sulphur Directive, PRF Directive, EU MRV Regulation);
- Follow meetings and ensure support to the work of the European Sustainable Shipping Forum;
- Contribute to assessments of existing legislation conducted by the Commission;
- Contribute to training and capacity building activities related to the implementation of EU andinternational regulations related to the prevention of pollution from ships;
- Support the Agency on any sustainability related issues, as required;
• Any other task that may be assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent qualification or professional experience, preferably in the area of the above-mentioned functions and duties;
- At least 3 years of professional experience acquired after the award of the required qualification. When no university degree or equivalent qualification has been acquired, 5 years of experience is required of which 3 must be relevant to the post;
- At least 3 years of experience as a navigating officer or marine engineer (or combined: maritime officer) on board seagoing ships or at least 3 years of experience working on relevant projects for a ship owner, classification society, administration, shipyard or as a naval architect or mechanical engineer;
- Good knowledge of International Conventions and EU Legislation related to the prevention of pollution from ships;
- Very good analytical skills;
- Ability to train and transfer knowledge;
- Very good communication and interviewing skills;
- Ability to work in teams;
- Knowledge of a third EU language would be an asset;
- Professional experience in working on green technologies adapted to shipping would beadvantageous;
- Experience as a PSC Officer or Flag State surveyor or in a classification society would be anasset.
